I used several different colors of green felt we had lying around, and cut them into squares, maybe about 3/4". I used our rotary cutter, it was super-easy and fast to cut the felt that way. I threaded the largest, dullest needle I had with a couple of strands of DMC floss, tied a knot in the end, and we were in business.
Not having a lot of experience with needle and thread, Kiddo frequently pulled the needle the wrong way and nearly unthreaded it, so occasionally I stepped in and held it for him.
But it wasn't long before he was doing it himself again.
This craft was cheap, simple, and fast. Kiddo loved it. He loved that he could do it by himself with minimal help.
After we had strung enough felt (I'm guessing ours was about 8 or 9 inches, but I didn't measure), we tied the ends together to make a circle and added a bow. And, voila!
Cute little wreath.

I like your idea to use the varied shades of green and turn it into a Christmas wreath. Very cute!
Those turned out so sweet looking! I love wreaths! You are so patient.
Thanks, girls!
Cathryn - I'm not always patient. :) This project was easy - very little patience required.
These look neat!
