It's dark (and kind of stinky) when you're sitting in the belly of a great big fish.
(Story of Jonah during Vacation Bible School this week...our amazing volunteers made a classroom-sized fish belly out of large sheets of black plastic, duct tape, box fans, and a can of sardines).

Gah! That was the ONE day I missed of ours! Bet the kids LOVED it and I can just hear all the complaining/moaning about the smell. :D
