The ducklings are almost a month old. The white crested ones just make me want to giggle. Especially the one closest to the camera - his crest (her crest?) was lopsided and looked like it was about to slide right off of his/her head.
Kiddo loved them. "These ducks are pretty cool, Mom!"
He didn't want to hold one, but he crossed his arms across his heart "so that people will know that I love ducks" and told me to take a picture. I willingly obliged.
It was a fun afternoon. My brother- and sister-in-law are avid gardeners, so we always love to stop by and share gardening triumphs and failures and take a walk around the yard to see what's blooming (and steal ideas for our own flower beds!). And Kiddo has fun hanging out with a couple of pretty cool cousins.

no, we are not going to have ducks. we decided the only way we would get ducks would be if kiddo decided he wanted to join 4-H and raise them. although today made me waver a little on that...
we'll probably do chickens, but it's starting to look a little iffy for this year.
p.s. the last pic is my fave, too. :)
Looks like you had a fun day! Friends of ours recently got chickens. After scoffing at them we spent time there recently and ever since the kids have been begging us to consider even one or two. The jury is still out on this one though!
Beautiful ducks! And I really like the last photo, too. I raised ducks when I was a kid. And I really like crested ducks.
Oh my goodness, those ducks are so cute! There's a pond not too far from my house where we like to go feed the ducks. My baby (21 months old) LOVES this...and has successfully caught a baby duck--scary! He'd be in seventh heaven with these precious little quackers if he were able to hug and pet them!
