What kind of a camera do you use? The dragonfly photo from the pond article (which I commented on) is much better quality then I've ever been able to get. I think I'll send my bug friend over to diagnose your problem! LOL, she needs to work on my caterpillar problem as they are back and were inside the dead marigolds. Obviously those suckers aren't the solution!
I have a Nikon D60. I LOVE it. My only complaint is that it only has 3 auto-focus points, and sometimes they are not where I want to focus. I think the newer model has more, but I am trying not to think about it much, since I just got my camera last year and I can't justify buying a new one just yet. :)
The dragonflies didn't like me getting too close - I had to sit very quietly by one of their favorite spots for a while, then sneak up slowly on them when they landed. I took a lot of bad pics before the one I posted. :)
The bugs are japanese beetles. We have them every year. We can spray for them, but I am leaning more and more towards organic, so I'm kind of stumped as to how to get rid of them. We have lots of hot peppers in the garden, I might try blending them up and making a spray. I read somewhere that that works on some bugs.
As for the pond, I don't think it will fit on the delivery truck. :)
