through a child's eyes challenge

One of the challenges in the kindergarden contest (see here) was to hand the camera off to the kids and see what they find noteworthy in the garden.  This morning my son and I headed out, cameras in hand.

In the space of 15 minutes, he took 115 pictures and one video.  I briefly considered posting the video, but his videos usually leave me quite motion-sick, so I decided to let you forgo that pleasure.  You're welcome.  So, without further ado, here are a few of his pictures:

(his flower garden)

(the driveway?  yes, mommy, i want to show them where the mulch pile was.  i helped with the mulch.  it was fun.  yes, and you were a GREAT helper.  and i want them to see how bumpy our driveway is so that they know it needs to be repaved.  ah.  well yes, it does.  when you have $3,000 to spare, we'll go right ahead and do that.)

(his swing - many conversations and adventures have been had here)

(view from his swing.  the picnic bench says "i love ducks."  i will explain the ducks some other time...)

(sidewalk chalk road)

 (tall trees)

(road sign.  because road signs are important to my 6-year-old)

He didn't make it to the other half of our yard, but I must say, I was rather afraid to send him back out again - I was sure he'd come back with another memory card full of pictures!  I'm training him up well.  :)

I really enjoyed this one. So much of the little guy's personality came out through his camera lens. (Your comments helped too.)

Precious! Now I'm curious about why he loves ducks since there is a story... :)
