Why does creating a blog (or, at least, an attractive one) have to be so difficult? I have renewed respect for the women (and men) who have created the blogs that I follow regularly. They are all so visually appealing and engaging, and my little blog is...not. Actually, I have renewed respect for their writing ability as well. I have re-written this post far more times than I am willing to admit, which is ridiculously silly. If it takes this much time to write every post, I am in trouble.
One of the blogs I have recently discovered is The Inadvertent Farmer. Kim is passionate about getting kids outside and digging in the dirt, and, as a result, is running a contest this summer about gardening with kids. I love working out in the garden with my son and I thought it would be fun to participate and share photos of our gardening adventures this summer...but I need a blog for that!
Provided that I actually manage to keep up with it, it will most likely grow to include many other topics besides gardening. But gardening with my little guy is a place to start. We'll see where it goes from here!

I think your blog is just lovely! It helps that your first post with pictures is about gardening with a kid so I'm a bit partial to that!
Welcome to the wild and wacky world of blogging! Kim
Thanks! I did spend some time messing around with it last night, it looks better than it did. :)
Your photos from the snap-happy page are beautiful. I love the photos of your child in the garden.
thank you! :)
