It rained on Saturday.
I don't think I've ever been happier to see rain. I just about cried every time I looked out the window, I was so thankful.
The frogs, fish, birds, bugs, squirrels and other creatures were happy to see it, too. There were critters frolicking in the rain all morning.
You could almost hear everything breathing a sigh of relief as the rain came down (for HOURS - it totaled about an inch and a half).
I didn't even care that my cute little seed packets (found here), despite being laminated, were not as waterproof as I thought (staples piercing the lamination tend to kill water resistance).
"Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; make music to our God on the harp. He covers the sky with clouds; he supplies the earth with rain and makes grass grow on the hills." - Psalm 147:7-8
Amen and amen. More rain on the way tomorrow!

It's nice to see all your green. We got about 1/3 the amount of rain you did.
Love the photo you captured of the frog!
I really liked your frog photo and the sunflower photo from during the rain.
I am so impressed that you and your camera got out into the rain and got such great shots! Just think of the beauty you would have missed if you didn't go out looking!
I rather like the tie-dyed look of your seed packets.
The touch of scripture at the end of the post was quite fitting and touching!
Cathryn - well, actually, I either waited for the rain to stop or took the pictures out the window. :)
We got four more inches of rain after this post, our seed packets are looking a little more than tie-dyed at this point!
Thanks for stopping by! :)
